genuinly helping people is one of the best ways to get traffic. People send you comments, ask about you and what the heck kind of business your involved, but most times there so convinced of your expertise that they just "click the link below" and opt-in to be a part of your world. It's a wonderful and delicate process, that, when done right and skillfully, generates awesome targeted traffic. I'm living proof of those results.
I am new to this business and I am excited about the information I am learning from posting on boards like this. It's also nice that I am building some quality backlinks to my site.
It doesn't work. Only clueless noobs, kids, really weird people think it works. Weird thread, though. It's like the Twilight Zone. "Hey, it works!" heh
I have had alot of success from posting in forums, I get about 100 visitors a day just from forums. Here are some tips to have more success from forum posting. 1.) Provide as much usefull information as you can. add value to others 2.) post often at least 5 post a day in 10 different forums related to your niche 3.) write a compeling signature that gets results. If your signatue isnt working change it. 4.) no self promotion. forums are a great way to brand you. branding you is the best thing you can do for your business. Just look at oprah for example if she says its good millions of people will go out and buy instantly. If robert kiosaki says invest in silver people will invest in silver. Forums are perfect for making a name for yourself
Form posting works extremely well, especially if your product or niche is highly targeted to the forum traffic. Plus, if you build a solid reputation by posting useful information, you will be viewed as an expert on the topic, and that will even further increase sales. If you can find forums that target your niche, it would be a mistake not to participate.
Maybe you should read the DP FAQ Copper: Must have been a member for 7 days Must have a minimum post count of 10 Both of those requirements must be met before you can have a signature, and at the time of Nicholasb's post, he had only 2 posts.
i have found a good flow of traffic from forums from signatures show your an expert and tie in your signature into your response also maybe your contributing to forums but not responding to the right threads that relate to your site
Yea as long as your not spamming its a great way to get traffic, I usually post my magic site in a bunch of forums that are not really related, but people there may be interested. I don't spam though, I find the advertising section or a section where it would be related and ok to post
Yes, Yes, Yes I get traffic and I get improved site rating everyday. Post something original and interesting. Always show you signature. Good Pluck
If you write some quality posts in this time.. you'll get far more traffic from search engines.. and it's free too.
Had great success in the beginning with forums; however, the hard part is that it can become old. You may find yourself constantly answering or talking about the same questions over and over and over again.
Forums are a great way to get traffic. And it's not garbage traffic either. I advertising InForum Advertising (a service which advertises on forums - ironic, huh?) just on forums for a week. I received over 5 sales ($800) worth, and 3 of those are now regulars. Saying that, one of my forum "posts" was in the SitePoint Marketplace for $10. But besides that, it was just me posting in forums.
heh with threads like this, is it no wonder so many noobs quit in disappointment because they can't make it out there. They listen and believe in such crap. For those of you who have at least a half a brain, try it for yourselves. Seeing is believing. Try it for say, a few months. Experiment with it. Your goal is to make more money than a minimum-paid dishwasher, and work FAR fewer hours. If you are getting a half a dozen or so hits a day, and you think that is great, you are dumber than my pet rock I have sitting on my printer. Be a success out there, not a failure. Use your brain.
putting a link into your will not guarantee you a traffic... but what the heck - just place a link and hope that somebody would click on it and hope it turns into conversion... it also helps in puts some weight in SERP...
