How to bring heavy traffic to web site?

Hello

I am doing seo for my client and the web site is around 10 years old. And the web site gets a decent amount of hits or around 2000 hits per day.

But I found that other web sites of my web site age receives more hits and traffic than my site. I am also following all seo steps like on page and off page optimization.

But still the results are not changing and not getting the desirable results

It would appreciate if any one could kindly help me

Change your keywords? If you have a small site you have to focus on the long tail and find a niche.

 

Make a keyword research, find the highest traffic keywords and optimize for them, also you can use Socialmedia for traffic like Digg,SU etc.

Try to change you strategy... If you don't have any success on purely seo, try some tricky advertising and promotion...

change your strategy,, promote more,,, the result shows that you are not doing well.... try to read more,, and experiment......

 

Also don't get caught in the trap of thinking that more traffic itself is the answer. The reason keywords are so important is for targeted traffic which will be more responsive. Otherwise you could have the situation of being in the arctic and everyone you meet has no interest in the ice creams that you are selling.
