How do you find out how much a site online is making?

are there any programs or softwares out there that can calculate how much a site online is making from advertisements etc?

Actually i haven't myself got any such tool..but the general perception is that earning depends on traffic and with knowledge of the ecpm of particular keyword and a wild guess on CTR you can calculate the earnings if you are using programs like adsense. But in case of affiliate i don't think we have any method

:p why don't you make a $100 offer to the admin for the site you wish to know the earnings..He will angrily reply you back with how much potential that site has :D

actually, most blog owners reveal how much they make willingly. If you really want to know, just ask. Leave a comment or something.

Blog owners reveal how much they earn becoz they know that's what their visitors want to read. Seeing screenshots of real checks can be really alluring for some... :)

I'm referring more to those money making blogs. Since he's interested in knowing how much the owners make, I naturally presume we're on the topic of money.

But you're right of course. If the blog is about something else like socks or socks with holes, then maybe he wouldn't be so keen on revealing his earnings. ;)
