I have just purchased a .us domain but someone just recently told me that adult sites cant be developed on .US domains?

    Is this true?

There is TOS when you register .US and you have probably marked "I agree" before complete the registration. If you did not read tit you can do it here - www.neustar.us/policies/

Did you read through the Nexus TOS ?
I am not sure whether or not it is factual, however, that info
    may be found there.

i wouldn't get a .US domain because there is no private registration and you can't hide your contact info.

How? With .us names you can't have private whois. Let us know where they allow this.
