Hey. I was talking to someone on MSN the other night, and he recommended to me that I use Paypal's "vCard" (I think that's what he called it) where Paypal make a virtual credit card that you can use to pay at places that don't accept Paypal. Obviously the find come out of your account. I went to the link he gave me, put in the URL of the place where I wanted to buy something and it just took me to a 404 - Not Found. He was US and i'm UK, so I was thinking maybe this is only open to US based Paypal users. Thanks.
I believe they now call it the Paypal Plug-in https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/cps/general/NewPayPalPlugin-outside&nav=1.3.2 but not being from the US, I never bothered to check it.
It still works. I've created a few Secure Cards in the past few weeks and just checked again with no problems.
yep, I recommend it. I use it all the time, its really great and keeps all my other credit cards secure
I love the paypal plug-in. I have an obsession with checking my paypal balance...Yes, I need a life. Also, I love the secure card option and the auto fill-in.
Maybe it's only for Business account holders. Both the virtual card and plug-in links appear on my friend's Paypal Business account.
