So far Apple has the highest vote = 8 =

and Sony second place at 7.

    third HP/Compaq at 6.

So Apple is popular around DP , hmm i might go for Apple then.

Though im not good at Apple Systems more of Microsoft friendly.. do you guys think its hard to adapt Apple?

I had 2 Compaq laptops few years ago. Both broke in the same way.
Now I have Acer and I'm satisfied with it.

The difficulty with asking people their opinion on the best brand of laptop is that their opinion is based on one or two models from one or two brands that they have owned.

I repair laptops (Computer Services is my main business), and I must say that all brands have had their problems as well as their success stories. If you are willing to pay the extortionate costs of a Sony laptop, then you will rarely have a breakdown. Apple are the same, though I have a few other reservations about them (I am not a big Apple fan tbh).

Take for example the fact that a lot of people have said 'Toshiba' as being the best brand - well I would agree that on the whole Toshiba are a decent brand, but they have had a particular model or two where the screens seem to become faulty in a fair percentage of machines. The problem with this is that replacement screens tend to be way over-priced, and not cost-effective to repair for lower-end laptops.

Acer have had a few models which tend to overheat if you cover the bottom fans (well this is true with most laptops nowadays, but this particular model seemed to have a problem).

Lenovo have had their problem models, and Dell have had a few disasters too. HP have had their support slagged on numerous occasions, and they tend to be difficult to find spares for unless you pay HP's exorbitant prices.

What my advice would be - from someone who has laptops in every day for repair, and who can repair down to PCB-level - you get what you pay for with laptops generally.

If you have an idea of what your budget is, then go looking across the brands at what spec suits you best for that budget. Don't get hung up on brand, as one is as bad as the other.

Having said all that, we do not get many Asus laptops in for repair (though not so many sold locally here).

    HTH

Lenovo and Apple. I used to repair laptops everyday. Those 2 are by far the most reliable. Toshibas overheated a lot and Dells have poor designs that cause them to break (C600 series anyone)? Compaq/HP is decent.
