hi guys, I am considering to become a DirectI reseller under a site, because it is offering very cheap domains (<$5 for .coms ). and i am thinking about transferring all my domains to this reseller. but what i am worried about is that what if the reseller scams me? (he is pretty new) . in that case, will i lose all my domains? Please help !
There is a clause inside the contract that says DirectI will take care of domains directly if a reseller fails to keep the account up.
that is if the reseller stops responding or plans to quit the business but what if the reseller scams you right away i.e. cancel the domain booking and runs away with the money? I am myself Directi reseller and have resellers and customers under me and I can assure you $5 is scam - its not possible.
You are safe if you have a reseller account directly from Directi but if you sign-up under one of the resellers - you got to be careful. There are advantages in doing that - you directly get discounted prices under slab 2 or 3, as the case may be, right from the starting. Also, no need to upfront deposit $200 or so. Only thing is double check regarding the reseller under whom you are planning to sign-up.

@OP: I think that you need top make sure that you are real account holder and go for the trusted company. I think that you can trust directy. They are big and well known arround here.
@serverpoint, directi asks for initial deposits. I have never tried on domain market, so i am not willing to pay any upfront payment. but is signing up under a reseller is so risky?
