Hi Guys, DirectoryKit has a new and interesting article up regarding colors used in directory themes - http://www.directorykit.com/true-meanings-of-color-in-directory-templates/ Thanks, Mike
LOLZZZ And wow never knew colours could mean so much (except from a lesson once where we had to look at the meanings of colo...*Zzzzzzzz*) Just like to add that my favorite colour is blue
I do think there is something to be said about certain colors evoking certain emotions, but...... Color is not the end all be all in my opinion. There are many other factors such as design, layout, content, quality, text and maybe even reputation that also play roles. Many of which moreso than color. I would say they all need to be taken into account and blended together.
Ha, I researched this too, a few weeks ago - I'm going for primary blue, secondary green and a flash of orange.
"Yellow is a color of sunshine, a happy color. It creates some sort of hopefulness and stimulates strong mental activity. It also attracts attention, when it’s very bright." That is exactly why I made one of my main sites a light yellow... It has been working very well I'd have to admit...
Its very easy to say which color is good, which should be used, blah blah... ie., easy to preach but difficult to practice. Design one and then do the talking is my suggestion.
