Im very skeptical about the $5000 per month. It boils down to unique content, and loads and loads of links, articles. The 6 month time frame seems awful short time, cause the finances niche is very very compeditive. Hey im happy for you if your not pulling our legs, but is hard to believe, i would want to see screen shots of adsense payouts, and see some of your sites. My belief is if it sounds to good to be true, it probally is.
I would not be too skeptical about this; it is quite possible to make even more money if you know how to drive SE traffic to your site(s). Last month, after I optimized one of my sites for certain keywords and changed the interface, the traffic to that site jumped two times and since the traffic was SE traffic my earnings from that site quadrupled. So, instead of making 200ish a month I made 800ish from that site. Now, would the earnings sustain? i really doubt it and the beginning of this month is a direct proof of that....
I'd just like to make a few things clear: - I just wanted to share my story with people who knows what it's all about, because in real life my friends don't understand what I do. - I'm not here to sell (I am a creative technician, not a salesman) - For several reasons I will not post URL's or Adsense stats. - If you don't believe my story I'm perfectly fine with that.
i think a site design has a huge impact on CTR.... in my eyes a very big impact. if it is true rock on man
150 uniques --> $40, that's unheard of i must say, to make that u need a 37.5% CTR and 40 constent $1 clicks ? even if those 150 uniques convert actually to 600 impressions that's still an amazing 10% CTR with 40 consecutive $1 clicks.. nah something is not normal in this story.
Well, today, on that particular finance site I so far got: 156 unique visitors 502 page views 22,8% CTR $66,27 And this is not a crappy MFA site, it has useful information, good design, and most important of all, smart advertisement placement... no spammy ads straight in your face. My visitors are 99% targeted towards my ads. I could have 5 000 visitors on a site where the ads aren't relevant and not even make 10% of the amount above.
It wouldn't surprise me if these sorts of threads were in fact authored by Google employees. The numbers just dont add up in any of these sorts of threads. the only sort of sites that usually have +25% CTR are parked domains and spam sites without navigation links. Plus, these sorts of posts always talk about "targeted visitors", but never mention any details about the nature and source of the traffic.
I get 98% of the traffic from search engines. Organic traffic is the best, regulars get blinded by ads.
It's high, but I believe it. You should also realize that finance is a competive google market, therefore the google ads of those who advertise in the finance sector are optimized very well.
Until a link or a screenshot of proof is placed, this thread is a waste of time. Whatever your reasons are, they must be strong, or a lie. Simple.
Disagree. Lets use my blog for example. It's on my martial art experiences, and I posted (and still do) around 2 or 3 times a week. It got indexed in Google. (oh, quick point I told NO ONE about it since I hadn't finished with design. and I mean NO ONE) Next session at my dojo, a few people came up to me to talk about it. Session after, the whole of my dojo knew it, the whole of my school new it and most of my family. A couple of weeks later thousands of people knew about it (from all the different associations and affiliates) All by accident. (okay so this is a one off story, but word of mouth is HUGE when it comes down to advertising) Oh and yeah, I actually agree with you funnily enough. Just wanted to show off, hehe.
