Rival Tees - Specialty t-shirt store (looking for partner/investor)

I've decided to pursue a longtime idea of mine to start an online t-shirt store that specifically focuses on sports rivalries. I would, of course, call the company Rival Teez.

I'm looking for interested investors or partners. Someone who can invest some money and time is ideal. A great deal of time will be spent developing the ideas for each rivalry. I think we can get away with focusing on the main ones right away and then allowing visitors to submit their own.

Our target audience would clearly be colleges, but we would offer to professional fans as well.

I run a screen printing company and would be able to provide the merchandise at a drastically reduced cost. I have design experience but would need financial help (or a partner who can complete it) on the coding portion of the site.

Low on funds for marketing as well, but I think we could set up some kind of viral campaign.

PM me or email me at mrbonzo@gmail.com if you're interested.

If you run a printing company then I'm sure you know how much getting the rights to sports teams logos can cost.

Seems to me like that would eat up a lot of your profit, but hey I don't know.

We likely wouldn't be using the logos - at least not the actual ones. Maybe parodied logos.

In an essence, each shirt will be a mockery of the opposing university/sport's team.

Primary market will be the college crowd in the US. As I said to some potential investors, I think the appeal of sports rivalries is universal, but I do not have the knowledge of sports outside of the US. In the future, I would consider venturing outside with the right team on board that could supply the ideas.

Items would be delivered from my warehouse via USPS.

in the shirt industry itself, sure. i run a screen printing shop and have to deal with it every day.

so far, i've yet to find someone who has a firm grasp on this market, though, so i think the business will be unique - or at least have a real chance at becoming a market leader very quickly.

That's the plan. I wouldn't be able to venture out there on my own, though. I'd like to tap the US market first and then use that success to venture overseas.

you knowledgeable enough to operate that portion of the company?

investor interest may increase if we're looking to hit both the US and UK markets simultaneously.

    :D

Well, I've found a partner for the site. Now, I'm just looking for an investor. Since I have found someone to split revenue with, I would like to find an investor willing to accept a single monetary return. I suppose we could discuss profit sharing, but we're looking at a max of 15%. I'm not sure if this is feasible or not.

I am looking for something around $3,500 for an investment. I have one seriously interested investor, but they are requiring a business plan. I have not yet had the time to devote to this, but look to accomplish it by the beginning of next week. Any other investors requiring this, please contact me via PM so that I know who to send the plan to.

This investment would provide for initial development of products as well as a hard hitting advertising campaign. I have a few unique ideas that I think will allow us to cut costs and hit our desired consumer base in their element, so to speak. This idea is very viral.

The site itself is seemingly one of a kind. I am in talks with the NCAA licensing committee to potentially offer logoed merchandise legitimately. However, should they not accept my business concept, we will simply push the envelope of parody. When your shirts are about rivalries, you have a lot of leeway.

I look forward to discussing this idea with all interested parties. If you can not offer the $3,500 I am requesting, I will entertain all offers. The $3,500 is the only amount I am willing to consider profit sharing for, but I will consider smaller investments for a one time return on your investment to be determined via discussion. We would have to decide on a realistic time frame and figure.
