    I buy a dell 10 month ago and I thing it's one of the best brand. Never had a problem with it.

    I don't have a laptop personally but I've heard my friends say that Sony Vaio is pretty good. It's a bit expensive though.

    IBM/Lenovo #1 by far. I have had a T43p for 3 years and it still works regardless of the punishment is has recieved to date. You pay a premium but imo go with the T-series!

    Right now, in terms of look the HP Pavillion dv9000 ( I have it too )... Otherwise performance sucks....

    I would say Sony is the best otherwise.

    I don't own one but I think HP is the best as I see a lot of professionals using HP laptops and HP is a reliable company.

    I've heard Toshiba is rock-solid, but I voted for Sony since my dad owns one and I've used it, like it as well.
