Is there a common ratio between and estibot apprasial and the amount a domain is sold for? For example, lets say I owned a domain estimated to be worth $1k with no content from estibot. Is there an amount I can expect to make on the sale of this domain? It is a common single word .us domain.
As I say with all appraisal sites, use them for novelty purposes only as they are always way, way off. What makes a name valuable is the actual quality of the name, the development potential & also the extention as well. Check out the recent sales on DNSalePrice.com or Namebio.com to see what have sold recently.
I think the best appraisal system sometimes is common sense combined with tools such as estibot, estibot is good as it will give you a general idea about a domain, however for example I saw a domain name that was valued at $18000 by estibot sell for about $30, now thats a big difference. My tip would be dont buy anything based on automatic valuations.
Well don't buy until you understand Estibots flaws and can factor those into the other numbers Estibot gives. Estibot won't let you find $1000 domains. Those are gone. Only your creativity will give you those kinds of domains. Estibot can't value creativity.
