er, neither, but then I need to do movies, digital photos and some fancy art, so I guess Budget wise XP is better (whoever designed the feel of Vista should be sent to the gallows for a flogging! ;-) I was suprised with the iMaccieOS though because the first GUI I used was Mac based (Mac Plus), followed by Mac Classic and picked it up the newer OS straight away ! :-o

Vista has some bugs but since they aren't making XP anymore they are gonna start updating and upgrading vista. Also Vista Ultimate is one of the few ways to get a 64-bit CPU right now, unless you want to go and spend an enormous amount of money that is.

I used to hate Vista back before it was released properly and when it was very new, mainly just a pain to get software working, drivers were a nightmare. But now its been out for so long I actually quite like Vista definatly better than XP aslong as you have the computer hardware that can cope with it easy enough as it uses alot more resources than XP. Thats never bothered me though as all my computers can easy handel Vista and it actually makes little to no differeance even when gaing on latest games.

I Didnt like vista at first because i switched over from Xp and the speed was so slow

Now i think vista is better than XP after getting a better ram (3gb) and some New gfx card...

I have vista for year and a half, and I love it. No Antivirus, just windows updates and it works great.

I am using vista basic right now and I can that it is ok but comparing it with XP I would choose xp since there are some instance wherein some programs were not compatible with vista. Actually I am planning to change back using xp again in my pc

I prefer XP because the hardware requirements are less for running XP than vista.
