I'm looking to make a proxy, but I was wondering about how much a semi-active proxy site would take up, bandwith wise? Any info appreciated. Thanks.
Wow. At first, I was thinking "That's not so bad." but then I read "daily." Jeeze. Alright. Thanks for the information EDIT: That was at Ramphix, not Dollar. Either way, after checking back, the free host I'm using will be able to support that. Thanks
You may find that as soon as you get any real levels of traffic the free host will kick you off the programme. No only do proxies use lots of BW they also use a hell of a lot of CPU capacity, something shared hosts dont like.
It all depends on your traffic. Even small proxies getting a couple hundred uniques a day will use at least one GB per day.
