I've been a member of Kontera for around a year, and I have to admit, at first, I was getting excellent rates from them. Last year, I was getting around $15-$20 a day, but now I am getting around $1-2 a day with the same exact traffic. My adsense earnings are identical to my adsense earnings from last year, but my Kontera earnings are way, way lower than last year. Is there a good alternative for them (like in-text ads?)
are you using kontera and adsense in the same pages together? isnt it agains the TOS of adsense? im asking this cause im a newbie in kontera just started using their service
Wow that is a large jump down. Nothing at all has changed? Was it new traffic back a year ago and now its all repeat traffic? Or is it still the same amount of uniques?

Yea, I made quite a bit on Kontera a few months ago, then it all went away, no traffic changes, all other advertisers same or up. Weird, I contacted them and they said they had a special for a month or so-when I asked them about the next special, they said they would be too busy to contact me about it. Ha, but they are giving full revenue to new folks for the month of July. What about the ones that have been with them for years??
Same to me, just like kelp, but now i got more traffic and i make the same money and less money sometimes.
Actually, that's not completely correct. Their terms (google's) state how and why Kontera can be used along with adsense, clicksor, etc. In other words, google doesn't care if you're running other ads. They simply require that they NOT be confusable with google ads, which is a reasonable request I'd say. I too am looking for some alternative to kontera, because it's just not performing as it should be, at least for me.
That's right, there's no issue with running Adsense alongside Kontera In-Text. In fact, many of Kontera's publishers find this to be the best, most profitable solution. Twhiting, sorry to hear the ads are not doing best for you. I'd love to hear more and see where I can help. Usually some optimization work can easily bring a site's earnings up.
Sure there is big competitor MediaText which gives you more than Kontera... They have this own advertisers so money from Advertisers goes straight to you. There are no advertisers like ebay, google who take also it part of revenue... Moreover, that promo page is showing that if you have more than 5 mil views per month that you get 100% revshare for first 3 months. There was also review done by John Chow for MediaText
I've seen a huge decrease as well. In the beginning the earnings were great. Now my CPM averages 0.20 cents. It really sucks. They tell you they will "optimize" your site but there is no improvement. Every month my traffic increases and Kontera revenue decreases. Also, they have a high turnover of their staff.
Yeah, I'm really starting to question Kontera and their tactics. They hide earnings data from providers, show massive fluctuations in impressions VS actual traffic and are rather slow in response.
For the past week I have only seen clicks and no revenue and so I am planning to stop this and look for clicksor probably.
