One of the sickest news stories I have read recently. Apparently a man was riding on a bus when his seat mate stabbed him multiple times, beheaded him, and then began to eat his flesh. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25966835/ News coverage here, including image of the attacker.
Wow this is some sick nasty shit....They need to just beat his ass with a big ass ruler and cut him with that hannibal lector shit. OMG that will make people don't trust who they ride on the bus with.
You can't do anything without being afraid of what someone else might do. You can live a relatively safe life, but it's a lonely one!
The killer's name is Vince Weiguang Li , victim's name is Tim McLean. The stabbing beheading and beheading took place on Greyhound bus form Edmonton to Winnipeg. I live in Edmonton
The death penalty is stupid. I would much rather see this man sit in jail for the rest of his life dealing with all the other douche bags in jail... especially the ones who rape him in the shower. That to me is a much better punishment compared to letting him off easy with some stupid death penalty. Say hello to Bubba.
Stupid. And cheap. It's going to take all of the taxes that 4 or 5 people pay to house him in jail every year.
What made the mad man to turn into a cannibal all of sudden and he deserves the maximum possible punishment for his barbaric behavior.
I always wonder if I was put in that situation as a passenger what I would do. Would any of you try to save the guy being stabbed?
Thinking from a victim point of view I would hope someone would but under the circumstances it would obviously depend the courage from the people surrounding. Personally I would. I could not live with my self knowing I didnt attempt to try and help in any way.
I feel the same. I would have to look at the circumstances though. I mean if it was a 6'2 250lb man, I physically wouldn't be able to match up. However, if it was someone similar in size, or smaller (he appears to be small) I think I would. If your going to go down early, I guess that's one way to do it.
Strange things happen when you get that big adrenalin rush though. It would be difficult to analyze the situation.
Big time, it's either fight or flight. Heroes you see on the news obviously don't choose flight. Humans are programmed to sit back, and wait for others to react in public situations, once one person reacts everyone else will. Which is why you hear those disturbing stories about people standing back, and doing nothing while they watch a 88 year old man get beat down, because no one is willing to make the first move.
None the less... in all honesty.. you can really say what you would do exactly until you were put in that situation. I may say I would do something for the fact I couldnt live knowing I didnt do anything but until a certain situation like that arises I will never truly know what I will do.
For some odd reason I see a short film of this in the future... But yeah very sad that you can't ride a bus safely anymore.
You never could ride a bus safely any more.. The opportunity for violence was always available to occur on a bus... It just never did. Getting stabbed on a bus is just as likely as getting stabbed in public imo.
