How to spend my $1500 SEO budget?

I'm in the process of overhauling one of my sites. It's currently receiving 56,000 page views /month, 18,000 unique visitors /month on average. With the new additions, layout etc..., my six month goal is to triple the current traffic. I believe it's achievable considering I'll be adding a lot more relevant content, video applications etc...

So I've got $ 1500 to spend on SEO....ya i know its not much but i'd like to hear from others how they would spend those dollars to achieve the largest gain in traffic.

Save the money, and seo your site yourself? For the most part, if you read the various forums and sites on SEO you can get a good knowledge on what needs to SEO your site.

Yes there are always tricks that the masters will take your money on, but why not start small and cheap

Also you can use blog commenting service or blog finding software such as fast blog finder.

Is this a one-time budget or a monthly budget?

 

I would say look at links and whether the onsite SEO is done right, though depending on what state your site is in and what your target market is. This could actually work for that amount of money or this will get you no where. All depends on your competition.

 

Purchase some powerfull backlinks and do the SEO yourself

 

I would just spend it mostly on Promotion actually. For example buying text links or banner ads on differnt sites can increase SEO as well as traffic

Why would anybody spend money on SEO? Save the money.. you can get all the SEO advice you need on the internet.

 

hmm...submitting your site to directories, article sites, etc takes time. You may want to engage someone to do that for you.

 

I suppose this budget is in excess of your content building budget since you said you will add content and more content.

Here is what I'd do:

Buy a quick entry to BOTW and few similar directories.

Find old good PR (3 or 4) sites without much revenue but some google ranking in your niche and buy one or two sites for few hundred dollars (You might get these abandoned sites).. Just for the purpose of sending relevant and anchor optimized one way links..

Buy a few unique blog posts. many bloggers are willing to write a post for a fee. Choose bloggers who only sells once in a while and which is relevant..

Buying link is bad, but it is still the easiest link building method. Just be clever in buying links...

 

I think it's enough for PPC campaigns, and additional SEO charges.

 

keep away from directories and do it yourself. if you are getting 18k unique its just a question of tweaking your SEO

Why do you want to triple your traffic particularly and why do you think $1500 will acheive this?
