    http://www.simple-upload.com

I developed this entire website, bought the domain, and brought it online in a matter of hours just today.

The website follows a module of simplicity in the footsteps of google.
The website is so simple, it instantly gratifies anyone who simply want's to upload a file instead of grope over sign ups, low file size limits, and useless rapidshare 30-second wait limits. Also, the design loads incredibly fast with it's simple yet elegant design. Even on a slow connection, it almost always takes less than half a second to load.

    Please rate:

Simplicity - Is the website simple enough for you? Do you understand how it works?

Design - Does the design consist of logically placed parts/looks good?

Would you use this website? - How often? For what purposes?

Suggestions - Anything that makes it easier for the users. Even if it saves the user a millisecond, it's roughly a minute or two of my time to make my site that much better. Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Side Notes:
Uploading an image provides you with codes to directly view the image, post it on web pages, and post it on forums for your convenience.
Uploading a .flv video will give you a button on the provided 'File Homepage' link which you may click to view the video web-based, once again for the users convenients.

    Thanks :D

I know, I hate hyphenated domains aswell, but it was still very lucky of me to get a domain with the word "upload" at all. Theres a few other similar domains I have in mind that are available -- but I'd like to see how this works out first.

very good...its amazing how you made a very interesting page, im very interested in it .. i will start uploading files there..in the past the people started using google because it was very fast loading and searching..
your service is fast, easy, and the most important thing, you doesnt have to wait to download a file..

    very good work
    my rate
    9.9/10

why 9.9 ? because in no place you say what are the limits... for example the T.O.S .. things like that
i hope this service will be up for years. again GOOD WORK!

    Wow, thanks!

I'll as a TOS soon. Currently, only the front page says "Maximum File Size: 300MB". I'll post more restrictions soon.
The only restrictions as of yet though are: scripting files are not allowed, and only files equal or below 300MB are allowed.

NOTE: I noticed an error in one of the uploaded files. It has a space in the file name, so apparently "reading" the .txt file wasn't possible. I fixed the problem. Also, ''s in filenames will be removed upon uploading as it also caused the problem.

EDIT: Force download didn't work on Opera. I fixed it.

    Hi,

I would say is too simple. Just using commom sense here, what is the reason behind your site before I upload anything up ? Share with others ? How do I share what I have uploaded ? Are u planning to make some money ? Do you have an unlimited storage server ? All I can see visiting the site today is an upload option with a 300 meg limit message. Please elaborate your thoughts so we can help !

For a website so admittingly simple, it's hard to know why you don't understand the reason for the site.

To upload files. The name of the website, simple-upload.com should normally confirm any possible confusion of the websites purpose. However, if you mean more in depth...

    -The website loads faster. Quite.
-It follows the footsteps of googles simplicity. Consumers get what they want -- pretty much in 0.17 seconds.
-No horrid accursed rapidshare 30-second download times.
-A superior model of simplicity, allowing you to view videos, download files no matter what type, and do other tasks on provided file homepages depending on the file type (such as read, and soon "listen" for music)
-No download speed limits. My website gives you whatever it gives you by default. First-come-first-serve.

In my first post, I stated a few questions.

As for sharing with others, once you upload a file, you are given multiple links that give you more than enough means to share with friends and the internet, with no hotlinking restrictions.

Am I planning on making money? Maybe if this website becoming so filled with traffic that it NEEDS a more expensive server or hosting plan, but other than that, I have absolutely no plans to ruin the websites simplicity with useless ads. I will not disclose wether my server has unlimited storage or not.

I would add a short description of the site's purpose, under the title.

Other than that, I think your site is very nice.

Thanks :D I assumed that Simple-Upload was a self-explanatory purpose, but I suppose I can add a description under the banner.

    You're kidding me.

    I fixed the problem.
My PHP Force Download script, for some reason, decided to not work.
I fixed the problem, and it works now.

I might include a small link to an 'about' section for the website. It wouldn't really sacrifice the website's simplicity and usability that much, and for those less tech-savvy it could clear up some simple questions. Other than that I like the site a lot.

Of course you CAN view simple-upload.com/28 and /29 and so on and so forth, but that isn't exactly a security risk. Uploading these files are primarily to share them. Of course, some might be for private sharing, so I may add a "private" button on the front page, or automatically complicate the link. If hundreds of files start to become uploaded a day, worrying about the chances of your exact file link, a stranger taking interest, downloading it, and using it is slim.
