Check the nav bar of proxytoday.info in Firefox. You have margin-top set wrong so its not appearing in line with the background. All in all, your blogs seem OK.
The flashing image is waaayy too annoying. It may work, just by perking curiosity, but it has a better chance of annoying people and having them never come back again. If you are only going to attract one time visitors, then it's fine. If you are going to build a blog with steady and growing readership...try and go for subtlety and perking your readers interest because you have quality content. You don't have to hit people over the head. Most surfers will resist being "sold" to.
firstly dont spam popups... my toolbar was buzzing madly bloking them lol... They both look really bland... like to standard lol... Get a couple unique things in there... maybe some custom headers? If you dont hav a clue how to do em u could get a half decent one done up for like 15 bux...
