I've seen a lot of products with average gravity which are below $15. Do they actually sell more? Is their conversion rate higher due to little prices?
I don't want to try them, because of low commission....And usually low priced products have poor a sales page...
It depends.. I sold lots more for my low cost software (www.TrafficPsyche.com) than other higher end ebooks. To me it's all depends on your product and whether you sell it to the right audience. For instance if you try to sell cars to people who don't drive, your sales will not be as much as compares to selling umbrellas to people in rainy days.. Though the amount you earn might be the same at the end of the day, but you work less selling umbrellas, because most sales come by it self instead of working damn hard to sell even 1 car... cheers,
I've tried promoting both low and high priced products. Considering that conversion rates and effort are pretty much the same, I'd go for the products with high commission instead.
I usually go for mid end, I've never seen that much difference between $40 product and $10 product, but I do see a difference when I try to promote a $100 product.
I've done pretty well with some low cost products. In the end all I care about is money per unique. What I mean is this: If I send 200 uniques to a product that has a $50 commission and I make 1 sale then that's 0.25/unique. If I send the same 200 uniques to another product that has a $10 and I make 6 sales then that's 0.30/unique. In that case the $10 commission is better than the $50. But that being said - I do generally go for higher commission products as I haven't seen much evidence of the example I provided being the case very often. IE - low price (and thus low commission) products don't seem to have a higher conversion rate due to being a lower price.
it depends on the product. Sometimes if people are looking for some information, but not really with the intention to buy, they say "hmm only $15", so they buy it. I've had the best conversions with items that cost about $40. Most people that are willing to spend $15 are willing to spend $40, so its just as hard to sell, but you get more back for the sale.
