Thanks. I've had a barrage of BIN offers. Some very much below the current bid some very much higher. Because of this wide range of offers I think it's not fair to take the highest or lowest before I set the BIN I had in mind. $175 seems like a fair number based on the input, and is below several of the BIN offers. This gives everyone a fair chance to win. Auction is obviously still going however!

Hi. I’m contacting you because you posted your interest in the MyMulti.org sales topic. The buyer of this site has since reversed the PayPal payment and thus has received the script and domain for free. After tomorrow I will kill his version of the script he is currently using. I can do this because of a kill switch embedded into sites I sell, for this very reason.

The domain I shall have to take to court to get back, and because I won’t let a con-artist get away with stealing, I will do this. I’d like to make sure you do not accept any offers for the script if he tries to sell you it. I will be adding new features and then selling it as a script, so if you’d like a copy let me know. Any illegal version brought from the user ‘swedish33’ will be deemed unusable after tomorrow so once again, do not accept to buy this script from ANYONE!

 

How can people like this operate in DP?

No offence, I understand that he reversed it but you can not sell something which you can switch off :S You did not know he would reverse it and can not be allowed the power to just switch a site off. Whats to stop you doing it a week later or even a few years later. Well that for sure has put me off buying any scripts from you. You can not do it, you were selling full rights not a licensed script.

 

I see your point miniplaya, but I am not sure that a precautionary saftey feature, added by ResonanceG for just such an event, that has taken place in this case, is wrong.

I am sure that the said "killer switch" would have been killed off by ResonanceG, if the payment had been received by him.

 

See, I was the actual winner anyone, the only one to post sold in thread. I do everything upfront. Some people only PM to hide, I like to use both.

 

I understand your stand point, but I've lost over $1000 from people conning me with PayPal disputes. This time it's going to cost me even more than the site because PayPal returned the money from my bank account without the funds in it, meaning I'm going to be hit by bank charges. I'll explain how the kill switch works. It checks on first run if the site has been sold, then turns on. It then checks for 4 days if the sale is still valid, if it's not it will then remove it's files, backing them up on a remote server then send a emai to the buyer. At no point has it, or will it interfere with the legal buyers, it's a win win situation. Without it I would have to charge even more to cover the cost of scammers. If at any moment it gets confused or can't connect to the right site it will remove itself. It's 100% safe and suits everyone. In fact I've often had people ask for it to be left in because if someone steals there site I can protect them.

 

I know this is over but I have a question since the script uses google API:
Won't the API stop working after 1000 requests everyday? Or do you have an agreement?

 

The main search functions are not run on Google Infact the current one only uses it as a thumb server.
