Use pics in your Squidoo Lens and short paragraphs. IMO that helps retain and drive traffic to your sites.

several people said above that they have been on the front page of google within 24-72 hours. that can be true for a good lens depending on competition. you just have to do some easy link building like social bookmarking submission and blog commenting to keep or advance the ranking. very good way to get highly relevant backlinks from Squidoo and Hubpages
Yes, I read squidoo and hubpages are good ways to drive traffic. But I am not implement it yet. That are my next goal. I'll keep read this post..
Don't promote your own stuff as much. People don't care about your brand. They just don't. So, don't sell them your brand. Sell them on your expertise and such. Don't tell people about your brand. It won't convert well.
Many internal links within hubpages can get your hubs to rank well in search engines. The trick is to make many hubs so that it can produce many internal links aside from your hubs linking to each other.
In my Hubpages account is the choice to provide a link to an rss feed for my contetn. Does linking back to my site via rss feed help in any way?
What's the deal with HubPages, do you need to create 60 pages and then all your links become dofollow? Or are the links you put on pages only after your 60th page dofollow? Also, I created a couple of Squidoo lenses a while ago and just checked if the links were nofollow, and guess what, they are, what's up with that? I guess my overall question is, what do I need to do to get dofollow backlinks from Squidoo and HubPages?
You can try by typing hubpages into your browser address bar following it by .com Maybe this will get you somewhere... Sure, mate! You can also interlink them where relevant. It is just better that you create ONE lens for each topic - this will allow you to make a good quality lens and attract more visitors.
Check my Hubscore hub mentioned a few posts up. Once you've figured how best to get a decent score you'll be able to maintain a level that keeps you above the threshold.

As mentioned, 50 in HubScore for the individual hub and at least 75 for the AuthorScore. You can get easily pass the bare minimum requirement by posting original content. To get into the 80+ realm you'll need traffic. But you don't need traffic to attain the minimum score of 50 and 75.
Thanks, that's cleared things up. What about Squidoo though? My past lenses all have had nofollow added to the links, is this still the case?
