if i am correct with my calculation buddy with 50 listeners at 128kbps you will need at least 263.67188gb bandwidth per mnth at the rate of 30 days per mnth if i am wrong with my calculation please correct me anyone

50 Listeners at 128 Kbps = 6400 Kbps = 6.25 Mbps = 375 Mb per minute = 22500 Mb per hour = 21.97 MB per Hour = 527.35 MB per Day = 15820.3125 MB Per 30 Days

So shouldn't it be 15.45 GB Per 30 days ? Can you please clarify, how you came to that number ? Thanks.

Well i will take an account from newgenservices but could some one tell me if the caluclations of newgenservices are totally correct

 

50 x 128 Kbps = 6400 Kbps or 6.25 Mbps = 384000 KB per Minute which becomes 375 MB Per Minute
375 x 60 = 22500 Mb pe Hour which Becomes 21.97 GB

21.97 GB/Hour x 24 = 527.28 GB Per Day
527.28 x 30 = 15820 GB Per Month

Not MB........

 

6.25 Mega bits per second x 60 seconds = 375 Mega bits per minute = 0.3662109375 Mega Bytes per minute.

0.3662109375 Mega Bytes per minute x 60 Minutes = 21.97 Mega Bytes per Hour

21.97 Mega Bytes per Hour x 24 Hours = 527.34 Mega Bytes per Day

527.34 Mega Bytes per Day x 30 Days = 15,820.3125 Mega Bytes per month.

so what ever happened to this company?

i ordered a month of shoutcast service, worked great for about 3 weeks, then the server goes offline.

then they dont respond to any emails.
