How often are backlinks updated?

Ive been doing blog commenting lately, how long till i see any backlinks? days? weeks? where can i get a good baclink checker that will show msot recent backlinks

 

I was told that if you check backlinks with yahoo they should be pretty up to date on a daily basis.

 

I agree Yahoo is pretty good, you can also check Google webmasters tools and even export them to xls spread sheet the backlink number is about 2 - 4 weeks old. Mind you this only shows links Google counts...

To get rough dirty estimate of current backlink I would just type

www.website.com -site:www.website.com

you can see some that where indexed minutes ago but not yet cached

 

thanks, i was worried it might only do it every 3 months liek the pr update and that would suck

 

when ever a spider checks it... one of the data centers record it...
