what is the difference between and chat room and a blog

    Can anyone tell me what is the difference between and chat room and a blog?

    Both are used for build interaction with the visitors but what is the main difference?

    A chat room is for real-time interaction something you can't get with a blog.

    On my own understanding. A chatroom consists of different people who "talk" /chat on real time interaction while blog is a platform wherein you can post your views/articles/topics that interest you most.
