Site Ranks well in Yahoo but not Google

When you search "free auction" in Yahoo, Alltheweb, or Alta Vista, my site comes up as #6.

But in Google its not even in the top 100.

Why is that? Is it because of Googles algorithm or different search criteria?

Trust me... right now I agree with you. MSN Live and Yahoo! are sending a ton of traffic to sites Google took a crap on recently. Problem is you need to optimize for Google to survive ;)

I don't know... it's strange that you don't even come in the top 100 for Google. It's probably tough because you don't want to mess up your other SE results. maybe try doing the obvious and submit a sitemap / webmaster tools profile?

Surely Google and Yahoo works on different Algos. So there is nothing to surprise if you are on top in Yahoo and nowhere in Google

It's not because one is better than the other. They have their own ways to determine ranking and basically if you compare search results between yahoo and google, most of the time you can find search results presented by google is the most relevant.

Different search engines have different algorithms so different results.
