Hi I started a new hollywood celebs wordpress BLOG around 20 days ago and now the stats are: - 3500+ uv daily - almost 10k page views daily - site got indexed in G in less than two hrs and gets more than 30 hits from G daily. - site ranks well in G for a couple of keywords - has around 500 HQ images (size around 250 MB) and I upload around 20 images daily. - I work daily for ONLY 1 hr to generate traffic - no silly bot traffic. It is all genuine traffic. - REVENUE: $2 per day from adbrite (adbrite was installed 5 days back) - one can sell links and ad spots to easily earn $200 per month from this site - this site is kind of adult as many times the images are very revealing! - current alexa ranking 796,456 but 1 week average ranking is 66,114 what do you people think. At what price should I sell this blog for? Actually I am a computer engg and will be joining a reputed company very soon so got no time to work on this site. Would buy it for probably $250-300. And I actually think you invest way too much time in it for that. Why? Simple. It's a blog, you make $60 a month. For a new site and everything no more than 5 times monthly earning. I do see the same potential that you do, but as long as you do not earn $200 a month from it you can't sell it for more than what I've said. That's how it works You sell actual value not imaginary (wonderwonder). If you really wanna sell it, go ahead and fill some ad spots, sell links etc. pimp it up while working on other sites and then sell it in a few weeks for a grand or more.
He said his blog is more or less adult + images and adsense never goes well together :-/ But yeah Adbrite is waaay down the food chain would advice you to monetize your site otherwise as well
You should try a couple of CPA offers on your site, some revenue could raise the possible sales price from $300 to $900.
Couple hundred I'd say. If you are making $2/day + ad spots, you should keep it up... couple months (if it keeps up at that rate) you can probably make a couple grand from it.
It really depends on the buyer. I wouldn't value it at anything, because of these two facts you mentioned: 1. Makes $2 a day. 2. Work 1 hour getting traffic. So, what you're selling is basically a $2 per hour "job." If it make $2 a day and ran by itself, now we can start talking. Not sure about you, but if some potential client asked if I was interested in a project that paid $2 an hour, I'd pass. And I never, ever pay on "potential" because the work done to realize the "potential" would be mine, so why would I pay someone else? Of course, keep in mind that I'm a shrew, successful businessman. Most people (especially here) don't even begin to value properly. Just tell them that you get thousands of visitors and make $60 a month and that you want $XXX. I'm sure someone will come along and pick it up. Good luck
what I think people didn't note was I installed adbrite some 4-6 days back and I am earning $2 per day. Just to inform you all yesterday it was $3 per day! I am sure I can touch $4 per day very soon....dunno if I will cross that as I am new to adbrite... About adsense - Cannot use AdSense as it has adult pics.. Thanks all for your replies I have been facing this wall again and again.. I guess I will sell 10 link ads for $10 each and 4 125x125 ads for $15 each and that will bring earnings to $250 pm... then will sell the site for no less than $1500 thanks again for your time that was surely a cool post even I would pass a job which pays me $2 per hour You must notice that the site is new. Once it grows then the working hour per day comes down as you get some regular visitors too. As I wrote above adbrite now is bringing $3 for every hour I think I will work on the site till August end and then sell it for around 1.5k to 2.5k Thanks again for your post. Shooting you a PM
