Link spamming works. It's a fact of life. Xrumer, CS, BMD, etc make this very easy to do and turn a great profit in the process.
I think Seo's mean spamming is bad on your own site, it is hard to catch a spammer that is posting his links along with some content on some abandoned forum. Just don't spam on ur own site including ur Title, meta etc..
Thats what im saying. These peoples sites are normal, they are just spamming backlinks at "abandoned" or semi-abandoned sites.
Uh Huh - So I could spam links to your sites and get you banned if I want to compete for your keywords? If only this where true.
Thats what I was thinking. In fact if you look at the google spam report it only disusses ON PAGE spam like keyword stuffing, cloaking and redirects etc. No mention of backlink spamming. I think google doesn't care about off-site spam because they know competitors would just get other people banned. Ive never seen matt cutts discuss it either, he only talks about on page shady stuff like paid links and hidden keywords.
I have also seen many sites rank highly that were built up with web spam links. I would not recommend it, but it sure appears to work.
I don't get it. Why does everyone say they don't recommend it, but it does work. This is why I suspect many people are saying that, so you won't follow what they do to rank highly.
spamming works, ehhh it's annoying but it still provides results which is why many choose to go that route
I don't think that spamming doesn't work, it works if done the right way. Some sites do that and are successful with it but a lot of people will not be happy with what you're doing.
