Your site can get more traffic and leads. Bu that's if the community in the social site is interested in your site, of course. If you're all about SEO and link building, though, you won't get much benefits from nofollow links.

 

That is an issue that is open to debate. My personal opinion is that you do get some minor benefit from nofollow links. They do help define which keywords you should rank for. I also believe they still send PR, but at a heavily discounted rate.

For search engines nofollow is a double edged sword. Yes, it helps to reduce ranking power from links. But many webmasters, in an effort to retain their PR, are nofollowing any outbound links - even those that are not paid for. That is why I think *some* PR juice is exchanged from nofollow links.

I would like to also say that those people who completely avoid nofollow links risk making their site's backlink profile look unnatural. The backlink profiles of many sites normally includes nofollow links. So if you are the main source of backlinks for your site, mixing in some nofollow links makes it look more *natural.*

Like I said before, there will be differing opinions on the SEO benefits of nofollow links. But for the better social bookmarking sites, it should not matter. The better social bookmarking sites will send you traffic regardless of a follow or nofollow link.

No, you used bookmarking, if you add the "social" part the traffic will come. How many groups did you join?
How many times have you voted for other submissions?
How many friends have you added?
How many other sites did you visit?
Did you add any widgets on your site?

I could go on and on...... Stumble upon is about the only place that you get get traffic without being social.

BTW- I am not a social person at all and my traffic reflects it.
