Yeah I think its because they have lost the eBay account.. so I imagine all those eBay affiliate links carried a bit of juice.. but in the end of the day I dont think PR is something that impacts CJ too much.
The traffic that goes through CJ's affiliate links shouldn't affect page rank - after all, they use a dozen different domains. PageRank doesn't necessarily correlate with traffic, though. It's impossible to tell. For example, look at the Alexa graph versus Quantcast: http://www.alexa.com/data/details/traffic_details/cj.com http://www.quantcast.com/cj.com Those 2 sites show completely opposite patterns in regards to traffic for CJ.com Only CJ knows the real story.
Ebay will have taken down a lot of links to CJ they would have had on there site. That could be the reason.
Google can easily tweak it since now they are in direct competition against Cj with their new network
Uh... right. What does PageRank determine for CJ anyway? Nothing. And Performics isn't new, it's owned by Google ever since they bought DoubleClick - it's just a name change now.
Exactly I did'nt mean the affiliate tracking URL's but actually all the blogs and eBay articles etc etc that mentioned CJ as the place to go for making money wit eBay etc.. In my book CJ still has the largest and most diverse Aff network..
Not only the largest and the most diverse, but in CJ , the advertisers have the campaigns for years... not like other networks where a campaign comes up one week and goes down the next week
