Google's Page Rank Discussion Thread

yeah this thread started when Q1 was going on...now it is Q2.

Most of my blogs stayed the same...I am very disappointed with google

 

So is the update over then? Or is it still going on? I only ask as my site seems to have went down to 0...but it shows about double the backlinks than the last update. Maybe i've been penalised.
I remember it showing 0 just before it got updated last time though, so i'll give it a few days and see.

Ah well, it's only PR, i'm still getting good consistant traffic, etc.

 

i don´t know if the update is done, on my sites at least it is i suppose...
that yours are showing 0 is really weird, are you sure they don´t just show an unranked?
I hope this will get fixed, else you could try to write a complain to Google

 

Could be unranked, how do I tell? The google toolbar says "0/10"

 

Maybe you lost hold of the backlinks or Google penalized you, As they are penalizing many people these days, also some site went from pr6 to 0

 

if it says 0/10 and not unranked it´s probably 0
Check on this site here for example, it´s unraked for me...

 

I had three sites go up from 0 to pr 2

I got whacked one position on one site, and also gained 3 spots on another.
The "Update" has occurred, no question.

 

I had one of my blogs go from PR0 - PR5, PR0 - PR4, a couple more from PR0 - PR3.

I also had a couple of my websites go up - PR0 - PR4, PR0 - PR2x2
PR3 - PR4x2 & PR4 - PR5.

Did have a PR5 drop to a PR4 though

Overall though.. pretty pleased!

 

certain rise has been noted and most of my older sites either retained or lowered their PR. could be the effect of the change in algo of the sidebar links which Google slammed again

Disappointed , all my sites dropped to 1 or 2.

 

I predicted the 28th July update in PR and it was correct. Now take my words... There will be next update soon in September 28. So keep motivated and build good back links.. those who are left out to get good PR will get a better one if they keep making good things about their site and blog. back links from good PR sites makes lot of difference. I have a site, just developed but it has back link from Home page of PR4, so the new site got PR4.

mine dropped from pr4 to pr3 ..i make my page lighter now

 

My landing page went up from a 1 to a 2, but the page that was a 3 went down to a 2. My Wordpress blog went from 0 to 3. My Hubpages profile is a 3 now, up from a 0. I guess that's overall pretty good. Gotta start working on getting some love for the landing page now.

 

0/10 means you have been ranked

otherwise it would show a clear bar and say:
No PageRank information available.

 

I'm sure it did this last month with my site. Showed 0/10 then a few days went by and it went up. But ah well, doesn't really matter, it's only PR, I still hold my positions in their search rankings and get more and more traffic daily so i'm not going to complain.

 

The thing is:

http://yoursite.com/ could have PR1 but that doesn't mean

http://yoursite.com/index.html or any other page will have PR1 automatically

 

So did my website, increasing from 0 to 4 within a month or so. Google's changed its calculation?
