Help needed Installing phplinks directory

    I am trying to install the phplinks directory free version. I did everything as per the installation instructions and when I get to adding database settings, I get the following error:

    I tried deleting my SQL database and adding a new one and the error still comes up. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

    I tried my host IP and db.mydomain.net in the database server spot and neither works.

    Is your mySQL username added to your database?

    Have you tried localhost for the database server name?

    Yes and yes.....

    I just deleted and did my database again and it worked..
