ok here is the story: a few days back one of my buyer opened a dispute of $25 against my paypal saying he didnt get his item(he said he didn't get his item.....lol....dont know what he was upto)anyway...we both contacted each other by throwing messages via paypals resolution center....and i refunded him his $25 and thus he was happy and closed the dispute immediately....no problem with my paypal since and no more open cases....just a few mins back before i posted this thread, i got an email from paypal saying:

Now dear members i truly need your valuable suggestions on this issue,i mean what will be my next step, what might paypal ask me in that survey, shall i click the link they are asking me to click or copy-paste,or this is any kind of phishing email. Also what might happen if I dont respond to it in 5 days? Will paypal limit my account?

Thank You all in advance for your helpful suggestions.

Don't be afraid to click the link, it's most probably an automated email. No threat to your account in any way.
If you have a minute (or maybe 30) to spend on completing their survey, nothing should stop you from doing that.

Each time you contact paypal or a completed dispute, they will send this survey. It basically is the standard survey which most big companies would send out, it is more about how you rate their service and how professional the one who assist you is. Pretty much that's it.

You can do the survey so paypal will get a feedback of what you think of them or you can ignore it and move on with your life. In the end, whether you choose to answer the survey or not and how you answer it would not have any bearing on your account or cause your account to be limited.

If your name shows up in the email then it is 100% NOT phishing. Phishing emails usually do not know you by name and definitely not come right after your contacted paypal.

Nothing going to happen if you not respond to that survey in 5 days, after 5 days your survey invitation will expire. So no need to worry about that. BTW its your choice to go with it or not. And keep one thing that paypal never ask for your login id and password during any survey as i go through it. So you just need to careful about it. Thats all.

    DON.

as eddy2009 said, if the email addressed you as your registered name on paypal. most likely it was not a phishing email. nevertheless, make sure the link that they told you to click on is legit and point to paypal.com not some subdomain or weird name with paypal on it. as the email stated, it is only an invitation for survey. they will not limit your account..

Actually, the survey is ran by an independent company which is engaged by Paypal and thus the URL would not reflect Paypal's domain name. This is to ensure that the results of the survey is not bias.

Its OK as long as you don't have to log in to PayPal with your ID and Password.
