It will take a lot of time and if roleed in USA alons..then there is no competition for adsense..which is everywhere
I have been in the beta for about a month and ... drum roll....... They are just like YPN Payout is good but ads do not match content. Lots of neat colors and backgrounds but horrible CTR
Cool, trippen. Thanks for the report! "Ads do not match content" = Very low CTR Too bad, since there are SO MANY here who would like to see them succeed.
You can come up with some really cool looking ads with blended backgrounds, drop shadows, change font size, position of sponsored ads text, gradients but make a page about apples and you get ads for plumbing. lol
Ah... so perhaps this will be great for MySpace layout sites, celebrity sites, etc... Probably not so good for heavy content sites or niche sites.
Unfortunately I think it's going to wind up just like YPN, stuck in BETA for two years, no response to publisher applications, never materializing.
I hope MS will let publishers choose their keywords because ads do not match content is really a very big problem. I also believe this giant will has a strong effect on the advertising market that forces adsense to improve
Yeah, I give 90% chance to that. I believe it will be stuck in beta for years, just like yahoo. However they do have a difficult job. All of those guys having been banned from adsense will storm the msn program if it opens to the public somewhere in time.
The ad and blending looks impressive..but unless and until the program is made avaliable to practically all the countries i dont feel they can compete with google.
Ah, that sounds too bad. I hope after a year there will be more advertisers on that system, and it will finally match content, to increase the CTR.
Pure marketing. No way an advertisers will pay 10x more of what he pays in Adwords just to be seen nowhere... he he
