hey, just got up http://ratehotness.com. Now trying to get some users to sign up. I am thinking about facebook advertisment, but that can eventually get pricey. I was wondering if there are any free ways of getting the targeted traffic coming into the site. btw my budget is $100/month...

Thanks not a bad suggestion, but what will be the probability of getting signups from those friends? I want to make sure that I get something in return for every penny out of that $100

 

This is a very common niche and I'm not too sure what I think of it. It may, however, be something that can be repeated over again and still work. Kind of like a general internet directory.

 

Buy some content of some models (20-30 bucks), make a video slideshow with some cool music with Win Mov Maker and stick it on YouTube and link them through there. That outta get you some visitors. Stick your banner in the movie.. go 1-2 minutes.

 

Cool site. Ninja's idea is a good one. Also try to promote your site through chatrooms

 

Those techniques are almost considered spam. Use the "basic" techniques that are known to work such as SEO, writing articles, video advertising, etc.
