I have a simple question to ask you people here to DP. I am following Lemonarian's Bum Marketing eBooks. My question is how to find the correct niche. Let me give you an example: I want to use the niche... "Online Games". In his eBooks, he says that you should usually pick something from the Marketplace with (usually) 100+ grav. The problem is that there is only about 3 items with 100+ grav in the market place that have to do with my niche. I plan on making a webste with many reviews of items in the marketplace.. and I can't do much with 3 reviews. Any ideas? Arnack
Hi, its not a matter of how many items there are but a matter of how you market them. This said, even if thers only 1 good product in a niche it should be enough if you market it right - in fact it might be an advantage since there wouldnt be too many competing products and the once that you market are the only available. Remeber that no guide is set in stone, they are just to show you the first step and you have to learn the rest by yourself. Apart from this, keep in mind that some procedures in guides might not be correct and can work better even if the opposite is done - especially if you got the guide for free from some forums. Most people in forums are newbies/not experienced enough and might do more harm then good by giving innacurate info. Dont take me wrong, im not stating that the guide is bad since i dont even know what you are using but just remember that nothing is set in stone and you need to learn to try new things by yourself too cheers and good luck
Who says every has to be good. Maybe you could give some less favorable reviews to the lower gravity products, then suggest one of the 100+ gravity products as a good alternative. The review sites that have 5 reviews, all with 4 or 5 stars are oh so lame.
Thanks for the replies. I was just worried that I should have a lot of reviews (and I can't have a lot of reviews with a small amount of items in the Marketplace) to have a good review website. For my niche I have chosen, it seems that there is only 1 item with 10+grav.. the rest are around 50 grav or so.
I'm a big believer in choosing a niche that you know - that you can write about easily - particularly if you are doing article marketing as a primary method. I've had a lot of success with music related products as I know music very well. Of course you can't always find profitable products in a niche you know. But if you can - it makes it a lot easier.
I believe so too. But when I look in the Marketplace, it seems that the niche is small and most of the products have low grav. I don't see how it can be profitable with me writing reviews on items with 20, 30 grav.
Gravity is just popularity factor. If it's low, it doesn't mean that product is not good. I've seen lots of decent products with low gravity, which would be perfect for promoting.
To a degree Arnack, you have to market around a a popular niche you find, not pick a niche and then decide to market it. On the other hand, if you pick a niche you don't know anything about, you'll be so slow at article marketing, that it won't be worth your time. Find a balance by picking a popular niche or product that interests you and taking a day to become very familiar with that product and the niche it is in. After that, you can start writing articles over the product/niche and by doing so, you'll become even more familiar and comfortable marketing the product you selected. You don't need more than one product in a niche though to be successful. One product that converts well is enough to make a lot of $$$ of of...
I really think it's a mistake to worry so much about the gravity. The gravity is really important if you are trying to promote by brand name - but if you are promoting in other ways - I wouldn't worry about it so much.
Some products will never get real high gravity as there can only be so many people interested in buying real narrow niche products. Others like Weight Loss have an almost unlimited supply of potential purchasers, and the demand is only growing (no pun intended).
I've just found that my weight loss niche converts EXTRA great, but it's just so hard to get steady traffic because of the competition - I literally have to churn out articles just to stay relatively on the ball.
Thanks for the replies, I am understanding a lot more now. For my last question: For my review website, which one of two things should I do? 1) Create a website without a main page. Make 1 column reviews without a link back to all the other reviews on my site (so I can promote each review one at a time, and not have to stock pile my website before I start advertising) 2) Make a website with categories, etc, and write a lot of reviews, and then start advertising it?
I wish I could edit posts! Anyways, I tried something, please tell me what you think. I created a review page: arnack.com/themoviedownloads.html What I did with this review is copied/pasted it to the following websites (I linked back to the landing page): -squidoo -hubpages -zimbio -blogger -wetpaint -ezinearticles -digg -bumpzee I also went to onlywire and favorited all the link to the pages I submitted. Am I on the right track?
Always do something you know, you dont have to rely on others expertise and most of the time you should know what your talking about. And, if I may.... Always do something/promote/sell you use yourself or you actually know something about it. Life is easier when you are doing something you love to do. Zibblu is offering great advice.
Hi, Sorry, I disagree with this. It really depends on the niche. I've had a reasonable amount of success with the "run car on water" niche, as have many people. Once you know the basics, which takes about 30 mins to pick up, then you can churn out article after article: Gas prices are high, it's tough. Did you know about HHO gas? Did you know you can convert your car now? Find out how now! Click this link! That's it. Just re-write that in about 250-300 words each time. I don't really understand how HHO works. I don't really know IF it works, but I know that the articles work! You can't apply this to ALL niches, but you can apply it to most, IMO. Cheers, Zander
Everything is ok with social bookmarking your review site with Onlywire, but what you should is to submit articles to those websites, which will then link back to your review site. Copy/pasted landing page on those websites won't give you any credit on making sales.
Ah, well what I did was bookmark all the sites I posted on (squidoo, hubpages ,etc) on Onlywire (I didn't bookmark my review site). So your saying I should rewrite every review I post on each article submission website?
you can also check other networks like commission junction or paydotcom but you should not really look at gravity, anything with gravity above 20 is worth selling
Okay, and my last question... should I rewrite my review for each article submission site I submit to?
