Have you ever had food poisoning?

Yesterday, for lunch I had half a gallon of milk that was set to expire with in five days. Turns out it was half a gallon of food poisoning!!!!!! It didn't take long at all to fill really bad. Right after lunch was over I was...uggggg!!!! About an hour later I threw up what now looked like cottage cheese, like three times in less than 30 seconds. Not long after that I spent the next 17 hours in bed *trying* to sleep.

First the pain felt like something wanted to explode (I lost my appendix a few years ago, from Crohn's Disease!). Now it's only a little worse than a normal stomach ache and lactose is driving the intestines insane.

Any one got any food poisoning tips? I took a Laxative, and the bananas part of BRAT (bananas, rice, apples and toast).

Lesson learned, don't drink a half gallon of poison!!!!

Half a gallon of milk is too much for me ;-)

I had suffered with poisoning late last year, and i know how it feels to be in that condition when nothing seems good, irritation, frustration, and what not...
    Hope you recover soon

i think half a gallon of milk was bad enough, at least for me, let alone half a gallon of poison, i hope you feel better now though :)

well, that goes without saying :D:D:D

if I drank that much it would be an instashi* for sure!

interestingly enough though, we usually do our shopping @ Wally World, not only do their dates on milk bite a$$, exp dates 7-9 days if you are lucky, BUT it also spoils sooner than milk bought from HEB (largest grocery chain here).

Can't believe anybody would have that for lunch..

I have a little experience with food poisoning, spent a week running to the bathroom non-stop, I couldn't eat, drink or sleep.. I just let it pass the natural way. Try drinking water and eating dry food. By the way, won't laxatives only make it worse? Hope it passes fast, food poisoning isn't fun.

I have had food poisoning twice. Once from McDonalds and once from Taco Bell. I don't eat at those places any more :) I'm sort of fortunate in that I really don't vomit, almost like it's a pathological thing that prevents me from vomiting, so I didn't have that happen, although I did get diarrhea something fierce and spent basically two days in the bathroom because I could never get more than a few feet away before I needed to turn around and go back in. Drink lots of fluids to help flush the system.

Yeah, I really needed to know that. :)

I haven't had food poisioning that I remember. My sister turned orange from eating too many carrot/sweet potato baby food when she was a baby, long before my time. It wasn't serious or anything though.

Got it once from drinking a cup of bad coffee, lasted about a week, you get the heaves, the runs, and the stomach cramps, its no fun at all.

You probably could if you drank it all the time.
