Domain History

I'm curious to know if there is a way to research the history of a domain? I purchased two domains and decided to park them and to my surprise both are showing pr 3, when all my other newly purchased sites that are parked are PR0 still.

Once I decide what to do with the sites and develop them will that PR 3 be back to square zero if they were dropped domains that I purchased?

Also is there a way to find out if domains newly purchased have been banned by Google?

You can get a free 10 day trial at http://www.domaintools.com/members/about/
Sign up & use your PayPal account. Cancel before 10 days to stop the subscription kicking in. It won't tell you if its banned by Google but you can see ownership history.
Also check out www.archive.org to see previous versions & content on the site.

Thanks for the info, I'll certainly check that out as my minimal research prior to purchase using archive.org didn't produce any results.. thanks much.

Archive.org is a good one to use, IMO. I use it pretty often actually.
