i'm not sure if this is true or not, but I have been running my new campaign for a week now. And having my keyword in all three format. However, I have very limited impression for some high traffic keyword. And the broad and phrase keywords all says the the ad is only triggered by the [exact] keyword. So they don't get much impression or not any. Is this the real reason that's stopping me from getting some traffic or if anyone else have some idea? P.S Most of my keyword quality scores are great and some are ok. But they are all active and having ad position between 1-8....yet they still don't get impressions..........
For example, PS2, video game rentals, game rentals, etc etc now the game rentals broad keyword only had 65 impression and i have great quality score and ad position of 5. Now that can't be right to only get 65 impressions, right? When i hover my mouse over to the keyword, it says even someting something, but the ad is triggered by [game rentals]
Is this a brand new account? Do you have any geo targeting restrictions, or time of day restrictions?
It is a new account within my MCC account. THere're no geo targeting restrictions nor time of day restrictions
It could be the new account throttle that google puts on brand new accounts Also, is this content target, search target or both?
Hi Robert So is it a good idea to bid all three match type for the same keyword. I usually bid the exact and phrase higher than broad because they usually convert higher. However, will bidding all three match type limit my impression?
I see, But as i put my keywords in both broad and exact. Only the exact has impression, all the broad terms not getting impressions and said something like although your ad is showing , but it is triggered by the [exact] keyword. something like this.. So I thought having both will limit you??
No there should be no limitation Im not sure why you are getting that message unless you are duping your keywords somewhere else as well.
That's strange. Based on my experience, broad match gets a lot of impression than exact and phrase match.
I know. I find it strange too. Really weird why i couldn't get impression when i have both broad and exact for the same keyword
Hi Robert This is the message it shows when i have both broad and exact on "Note: in this diagnosis the search whatever just example did not trigger this keyword. However, another keyword in this ad group ( [whatever just example] ) is triggered by this search. what does that suppose to mean?
It makes sense to use all three choices for each keyword. Google simply chooses the one that's closest to the search phrase and it doesn't really matter which one it is. The more important point is to maximize your chances of a click. Duncan
