OK, me and a friend are going to start a website in a few months that we will need around $1k for, but at the moment we probably only have around $100 between us. Any ideas for business ventures, we don't mind investing a bit, but would like to see results in a short time period. We're already stating to take on freelance work, and are planning to set up a proxy network when the new academic year starts, as this seems to be when they are most popular. We're thinking about writing an ebook, is this a good venture, as there already seem to be quite a few??? Anyone got any other ideas? We need to make as much as possible, as we'll need as much money as possible for advertising, so in total we'll probably need more towards $1,200 ish. Thanks in advance for any help. Simon
If you can promote your website for a good niche you can make it but you need to have something unique to get going that fast.
If we made a site then we would keep all the content unique, as we'd want to sell the website at the end, and with copied content sites are usually as good as worthless.. Or did you mean a unique niche??? Thanks for the help, btw
Generally speaking though, sites with unique content will go for more because they'll rank higher on Google and that sort of thing. Sorry if my OP sounded nooby, but I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on a level of this scale.
The best way I could find for funding my online ventures is a my day job. It might not be the answer your looking for but a reliable offline income can come a long way especially if u need server upgrades, more domains etc. I'm using my online income to supplement my offline for now
I get quite a bit of money from that. There are tons of people that are looking for the services so that is a good place to start.
One of the quickest and easiest ways of generating a fair bit of money fast is by selling surplus "stuff" on eBay. Most of us have things we don't really need - CDs, DVDs, Electronics (etc)....people will buy this stuff on eBay so consider selling it to raise money for your new project.
Why not take the money you have and gamble it. I think your odds of making 12 or 13 hundred are a lot better than trying to turn it online. If you turn it online try clickbank products and invest in click buys.
Get some freelance jobs (article writing, directory submission) here. Or create a content site for sale. Gambling is a big NO-NO!
could you tell me some of those ideas? I too need some quick money for my new laptop to the thread creator... as you have your friends backing up then why not take some writing job in bulk. Earning 1k from writing in 30 days isn't tough considering you are a group of people who can dedicate time...
There are many ways to do this, Just sit down with your friends/partners who want in on the website and research niches around the web and start something that has not really been started before. The kid who created the million pixel ad website started with a zero budget, All he wanted to do is earn some money to pay off his college and have extra cash. Idea came to him one night, Spent about a week to devolope, Within a couple weeks he had made over $1,000,000 dollars. Ofcourse he went around advertising placed to get the traffic. You just got to think about things that have not been done that other internet users would be like "Oh Wow" when they see it. That sparks up your viral traffic. I don't care what anyone else thinks, but Viral Marketing is far the best marketing that can be done.
Actually I just found this great article that I think you should look at which will give you a more of a idea. nichegeek.com/10_totally_stupid_online_business_ideas_that_made_someone_rich
