1. This is the wrong forum - use Solicitations and Announcements. 2. Does the name reflect on the directory?
From the site... "BullshitWebsites.com is the #1 Web Directory and has the largest collection of websites!" Gotta love how this site lives up to it's own name. My favorite category has 2, count 'em two listings and one has a title/link in excess of 200 characters and the other is misfiled. I just can't see any business or serious website wanting to be part of this. Sorry dude, think you need to rethink your concept here. A+ for coming up with a unique and memorable brand but you've got a lot of work to live up to your tagline.
Any suggestion is greatly welcome to make it the real #1 site in the whole wide world of websites. All profit will be shared. thanks
The most obvious answer would be to add content, it's below "thin" currently. A skilled editor could probably double its size in a day, and it would still be below thin. Be worth considering a lot of sites added before attempting a release. Other thought: Not sure what measure of #1 to go by... largest, fastest growing, most profitable, most respected, most traffic... but it'd be hard to claim #1 in any of them with a start-up. Suggest a different approach on marketing it besides the #1 thing. You seem creative, go for something fun or off the wall... saves a lotta wear and tear flamewise. Anyway, good luck, and FTR... You generally don't need to offer to share profits to get opinions in this place.
Show me a good directory site that meets all the criteria s of a good solid web directory and just slapped that bullshitDirectory/Websites.com name over. Isn't directory website the same? If you see 2 web directory sites , both using the same templates and same rank, the only difference is...the domain name. How not to forget a hot catchy domain name like BUllshitWebsites? It is all about perception!
If you're making a satirical point that identical directories with little content and big claims are most aptly described by the title shown... then I apologize for having missed the joke. It's only Tuesday, I hope to be up to full speed at least by Friday.
To answer the pm you sent me, I first suggest you lose the domain name, and lose it fast. It will only serve to ruin a reputation, yours and the sites listed within/under that name. I mean come on, the word Bullshitwebsites.com - I mean what are you trying to say or do? Give the impression that you list crap websites - yeah, that sends out a message alright - the wrong one. I assume you'll want to charge for listings at some point, so clean up your site and get it filled. You've got a lot of work to do.
