Hi Everyone, I've just started a site in the online income niche (www.incomemanual.com). The goal of the site is for everyone to share and learn how to make money online. I've never had a site in this niche but my goal is to have at least 100 unique visitors a day in 8 weeks without paying a cent for it. I will share some of the methods that I'll be using to try to achieve this but at the same time, would love to hear from you guys sharing some of your techniques. 1)Article submission to article directories This is a very effective method but also very time consuming. It's good for backlinks and targetted traffics. 2)Place links on Craigslist Have never tried this before but read somewhere it helps. It's supposedly the easiest to do and has the fastest result. 3)Bookmarking Bookmark to bookmarking sites such as mister-wong.com, faves.com, del.icio.us 4)Submit to directories From experience, this does not offer much in term of traffics but good for backlinks. It's also extremely time consuming. There is a service to do this but then again, this will break the rule of not paying a cent for traffic. 5)Press Release This is something very effective if you have an event, competition or something that will attract some serious attention. If not, the press release will most often get ignored. 6)Traffic Exchange View ads or sites for credits to be used to buy traffics to your site. This is not recommended though as traffics tend to be of poor quality. I have a software to automate this on one of the biggest traffic exchange site whereby it's claimed by the site that viewing of sites cannot be automated with their system. I'm open for ideas...
Think about making some youtube vids, they sometimes can spread like wildfire, and rank pretty well in search results. And when they do get on the first page for a decent search, they will have a picture on the SERP, which I'm sure draws the eye better than anything else.
100 unique visitors a day is not really that difficult to reach in 8 weeks. But I doubt, that "online income" really is a niche, so I am a bit curious of what you would like to offer as content, that has not been rebottled a thousand times already.
The first and only video I made for youtube so far was just a video version of one of my ezinearticles. I used a robot voice from AT&T Text Speech and Public Images from wikicommons, and put the whole thing together with windows moviemaker. I put my website at the end, and put my link in the description. I submitted it in February, and so far have got over 2700 views and made 12 sales. I linked to it from a couple of ezinearticles, and have been getting some decent, steady traffic from it. In just 8 weeks you may run into a time problem with that short of a time period depending on how fast your website gets indexed and backlinks take effect but really shouldn't be hard at all to get 100 uniques a day.
Lol what the hell? In 8 weeks you should shoot for 1,000 visitors a day, not 100. 100 is like stealing candy from a 3 year old, at least try to get youself some icecream (belive me, there is a huuuge difference for 3 year olds between candy and icecream )
if u go in adding articles and do all the above steps mentiond by u u will definately get 100 unique visitors
this is certainly an achievable goal, the right topics and basic site SEO will get you 100 uniques per day just from search engines.
What about making a viral piece of free software and submitting it to the software directories. Much like mortgage brokers do with mortgage calculators. Or dietitians with weight loss guides. I guess it depends on your niche.
I would set it on 500UV a day. I think it is achievable but I think 1,000UV a day would be a pretty high goal for a brand new website (It is brand new correct?). A lot of getting massive visitors is SERPS so if you have that and can improve on it then no problem getting 500UV a day.
I opened a movie-site like 2-3 months ago and the first day we published it we got 1k unique visitors but we got great opportunities for referals though. edit : 1 more idea- maybe you should try to pay "forums posters" on DP. There are some people who pay 10-20$ for 50-100 posts.
If I got 100 uv per day after 8 weeks I would be happy. If you set your sights to high, you might get down hearted, and leave your project. Start with small steps and work your way up.
But why start with something you can achieve in 2-3 days? Seriously this is ridiculous what do you wanna do wiht 100 uv a day?? We're here to make money, not to play games.

This actually sounds like a pretty decent challenge to me, get to like 1,000+ visitors in 30 days or sth like that. Gonna pull off a lot of work on some projects today and tomorrow. So I'll see if I can fit this in
If you ask me, that is easily possible. Post lots of high quality articles but never give them everything they want. Let them go to your site to get what they are looking for. That way you'll get herds of traffic stampeding to your website in no time.
