Is it right when celebrities sell their newborn baby's photos?

Pictures of the babies will get taken sometime so I don't see why they shouldn't sell them first, that's their business after all, but I think the proceeds should either go to charity or a fund for the baby. It's just greedy for the parents to keep that cash.

^ That's right. Apart from giving the money to a charity, a trust fund for the baby should at least be set up and the cash should go to that trust fund

I am fine with the selling of baby pictures because it's not like they're candid, they're actually professional and edited, but when it comes to Jamie Lynn Spears, absolutely not, and it's only because she's a teenager who is idolized by many tweens. What's your kid thinking when their idol is saying "Being a mom is the best feeling in the world!" and they want to do everything they do? However, Jamie isn't anything without the Britney effect, she wouldn't be able to stand alone, and she only has her Nick show because she is Britney Spears' sister.

I really admire Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, yes they sold pictures, but they are so low profile about it all, I remember hearing Joel talking about it just before she gave birth and he was just like, "We're just a young couple having a baby", so down to earth, really changes my view on them both. They're both destined to make great parents, I don't see any court cases coming in between them any time soon.

Yeah, I do feel that they have the right to do such a thing, but I think that it is not a humane thing to do. It's just not something I think should be done.

 

LOL @ Jamie Lynn saying that "being a mom is the best feeling in the world." The girl is just a kid for chrissakes! I bet her pregnancy was unexpected and never planned.

 

No doubt it was unplanned. What other "tweens" don't realize is that she has nanny's and helpers who are there to cater to the baby when Jamie wants to go out and party or whatever.

Anyway, I think that it is fine for celebs to sell photos of their babies. If I found out my parents made a lot of money off of selling pictures of me, I would be fine with it. Plus, angy and brad gave all of the money they made off of the photos to charity. They did that mostly because they are loaded, but still it is a good gesture.

 

they have all the rights...its their baby's newborn pictures in it anyway..I admire Angelina though...she sell her babys' pics for charity cause...how beautiful her heart is...

 

Speaking of Angelina and Brad's twins, the photos of the twins are out in People's website now. I heard they sold the photos for $14M? The money will go to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation, though.
