Basically Vista will only run good on some booked hardware. You can run XP on a lower down system making it much more appealing to companies that don't need a couple hundred company computers that are all super fast and expensive just to run Vista. Its not worth it, plus XP even has more features, well not really, but with the right software it can!
it did ........ but the current situation is still that Microsoft alone has more than 90% of the market of OS....... and everybody else, Mac, Linux (all flavors), Solaris, all together are less than 10% I work as a computer technician...... I go to people's houses to fix their computers.. and so far, since the release of Vista I have not seen any one single customer who is happy with this shrint.....
I wouldn't call vista innovative, they just added a new design a bunch of annoying security features and copied what every other OS had already done. your a computer technician why would you have customers who are happy with there computer surely they hire you because there computer isnt working and noone is happy when that happens.
okay hands down anyone here think the way you select files in Vista sucks? Its a real preformance slow down specially if your a webmaster becuase you have to use FTP and deal with alot of files. In XP you could click on the files and easily drag and select a bunch of them. In Vista when you hover over them it has some glow on. and if you try clicking then drag the selection over multply files it will drag the one file instead. That is so damn irratating, so instead you have to put your mouse somewhere far away from the file and drag your selection box over the files, does anyone know what I'm talking about?
I haven't instaled vista on my pc...and I think that I won't install it cause I like the Xp...I think it works better.
correct. no. many of my customers are also using XP, but they say clearly, the computer was running perfect till this virus or that problem happened. however with vista, the usual song is : This shrint has never worked since I bought the shrinty computer!!!!!!! Day 1 I had problems. the installation was horrible. it was too slow and it kept all the time asking me to confirm things that I did not understand....
I have been using Vista since it first came out and haven't had any problems. It is very user friendly in my opinion, I like it a lot.
lol well i think i have agree with them, my computer is terrible since i installed vista, worst decision ever IMO.
Vista is slow due to its high graphics and security. It makes PC slow if u are again tied up with a Antivirus like Norton. XP is Cool still user friendly. If you need to change your Vista with XP you can definitely do it (for a registered version).
I run both XP and Vista and on my more powerful desktop I run Vista. I love the sidebar and performance has been flawless. It's a dream OS!
one industry that is definately happy with vista: the hardware industry! The number of upgrades I needed to run this heap! And what does it really do that XP didnt?
I like Vista much more user friendly than XP. No crashes, no awkwardness for me. Oh and I have a $5000 laptop with it.
you are plain right. I personally could not even install Vista on my computer.... at the end of the installation you get blue blue blue blue screens...... and the installation never finishes really.
.......... yes. on a machine that was tailor-made custom-made for Vista... and if you can't even get through the installation of Vista, it is difficult to try to find out what is going wrong and fix it.......
