No, it is not worh trying if you:

    a) have no previous experience in online marketing
    b) are not willing to spend money for online advertising campaigns (via AdWords in particular)
    c) do not know what you're doing

Do not buy anything from anyone who claims they have "the secret" to CJ.com and can make you rich in a heartbeat. If it was true they would have been doing it themselves rather spreading their sh*t all across the web.

My advice to you, do not try it unless you have a couple of good friends who can guide you through the whole process. People have lost fortunes trying to become rich through online businesses.

I have a different view to the points a,b and c above.

    a) You have to obtain experience somewhere, CJ is as good as anywhere to run some campaigns and give it a go. Where else would you get experience?
    b) Yuo do not have to spend on PPC to make money with CJ, yuo can obtain traffic by good SEO and the seo forum here on DP can ptovide some good information.
    c) No one starts affiliate marketing knowing anything about it. As in a) above, you have to start somewhere.

A simple website of blog, with some good content and seo and some CJ affiliate links would in my opinion be a good place to "wet your feet".

As posted above, I would be wary of buying any ebooks. Most information in ebooks can be found in these forums if you look hard enough, they are a good resource. Best of luck

I would suggest that you should have at least 10 active websites. Learn SEO and PPC first before you go into affiliate marketing.

Why 10 active websites? Why not 100? Or why not just 1?

I started with 1 website quite a while ago - I'm not really running any sites anymore, but I'm doing PPC advertising. In less than 2 years, I'm generating 5 figures per month in commissions.

5 figures for one website alone? Wow, congrats. What is that you're promoting? Computer products? That's an inspiring revelation, TVMatt.
