Partial quote (I quote on what I'm referring to.)
I am amazed at the ignorance also when the solutions are easy and ready.

Drilling offshore and increasing Saudi output will help solve the fuel crisis until alternatives can be developed. THe ansewr to the fuel crisis will take all three fixes. Complex but it will work. ANyty drilling that starts now will take five to 10 years to maintain fuel levels. Not an instant fix but a fix.

Giant Saudi field is key to boosting oil output

This massive oil field surrounded by the desolate sands of Saudi Arabia's vast eastern desert feels like the middle of nowhere.
But what happens over the next year at Khurais, one of Saudi Arabia's last undeveloped giant oil fields, could hold the key to what drivers will pay at the pump for years to come.

In one post you state that drilling at home is the answer, in the next you bring up alternative, in the next you bring up drilling elsewhere.

That is a mixed bag of ideas, not a total 'answer' as you have stated in many threads 'or tried to at least' claim drilling at home for instance was a 'solution'. It is in fact a short lived band aide.

Just read your posts once if you get a chance, they do not add up..

    I repeat again.

BTW do you think people are dumb enough to fall for your partial/select quotes?

I glad to see McCain still focused on reducing the price of Oil. When he is President the sight of oil rigs will be a welcome site.

McCain promotes drilling for oil off US coast

Forecasts on Saudi Arabia liquids production

There is not enough oil. Not in Saudi Arabia. Not in USA. Not in the Artic either. Brace up for the coming decline in Oil production. Max limit has already been reached, every possible tech has been utilized to increase production, but there is little chance anything spectacular would happen.

To show you how tough it is to find new oil and gas, listen to this interview with Dave Hughes, who is a Geologist in Canada Oil industry. This is really very important. Please listen to the interview.

We cannot drill our way out of this problem. If McCain thinks he can, then he must be living is Alice's wonderland. In the real world, it can't happen.

Ah, big differences in vehicles. The Mazda is a Japanese vehicle, and foreign vehicles have shown a consistent increase in fuel economy. The Hummer is an American vehicle, and American cars have had no substantial increase in fuel efficiency since the 1980's. Improvements in engine technology have been used in heavier vehicles (like SUV's), keeping the average MPG of American cars about the same. BTW, GM has never released official MPG ratings for the Hummer (not required due to the weight of the vehicle), but consumers report an average of only 7-12 MPG.

I agree though - auto manufacturers (especially American ones) *should* make more efficient cars. However, consumers are also to blame for insisting on purchasing large, inefficient vehicles as a status symbol. Many that buy these vehicles will never use them for anything more rugged than a trip to the grocery store. And I'm not accusing you of doing so Grim. :)

I'm in favor of taking some measures to tap into the currently untapped areas for oil. However, it is a temporary solution and according to some well-known oil guru's like Boone Pickens, the crisis will only be worse in another 10 years or so when those places start "maturing" and producing less oil as well.

Mazda is owned by Ford, much of the engineering is the same as that of Ford, many US companies do have 6 speed transmissions. Yes there is a difference in the vehicles, gearing and transmissions though can make a huge difference.

The H3 does have a MPG rating BTW ;)

Hey even Obama wants to drill now. Does that mean you are going to endorse off shore drilling?:

We got to do something about it and this got to start with us by saving gas, fuel and energy.

    Are you an idiot?

I DO NOT support Obama, I have my reasons for not using offshore drilling, especially to mindlessly drone that it's a solution and it has NOTHING to do with Obama.
