Is it better to include multiple keyword phrases in your anchor text or just a single keyword/phrase? For example: < a href="http://www.google.com">Search engine, google, SE, search tool</ a> Or just one keyword / phrase per anchor text?: < a href="http://www.google.com">Search engine</ a> I have a high authority backlink but want to rank for multiple keywords/phrases using this one backlink (its a PR7 with a dozen PR6 and 5 internal pages).
You can prove me wrong but it all depends what's your target. using generic links or image links may cost you some of the ranking power you'd otherwise earn by having internal links with accurate, relevant anchor text Cheers Lucio Ribeiro
i would suggest you to use variation of anchor text. use a single keyword phrase for your main KW and use 2 or 3 other related KWs as well. for example, if you have a directory submission site, you can use "directory submission" as your main KW and then use "manual directory submission", "directory submission service", "Directory submit" etc as your anchor texts
Same as here, im using long tailed KWs... When someone search for any of those KWs within my long tailed KWs, my site will appear!
