What's the meaning of PR N/A?

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by arteaga624, Jul 28, 2008.

So here i'm again with a question:

I manage 2 boards (onlinewebmarket.net and coderboard.com), before the last PR update from Google they were respectively PR 2 and PR 2. Well now (2 days after the last update) they are PR 3 (yahoooooo!!!!!) and PR...N/A!.

I thought was an error so i checked twice on more than one site (includding the prchecker.info online tool and many more) but for coderboard i get always the same result: N/A.

I'm used to see how PRs from my sites goes up and down according to traffic and so on, but to be honest is the first time i see PR N/A (neither PR 0). Keep in mind this board was created on 2007-10-26 and (if i'm not wrong) isn't banned from google (according to some tools as Google Banned Checker Tool)...

So why PR is N/A?, what you think?, any tip?.

    Thanks.-

It basically means that Google has not got round to updating it yet either because its a new page or because Google is lazy and not decided to do it yet, like 80% of my website. ^^

But this site was created on 2007-10-26 (so isn't new at all) and was PR 2 before updating. But i think you are right and BigG still is updating it due is lazy :p

    And thanks for your feedbacks!

PR N/A for a new site is understood that stands for "not assigned yet".
Really strange is the drop from a certain value to N/A again.
I've checked through Google groups for an answer, but no clue there.
    Really strange..

PR N/A occurs in one of two scenarions either a) you're site hasn't been indexed yet, or b) you're site has been banned by google. In your case, I suspect your site may have been deindexed, or labelled as SPAM. PR 0 is an assigned rank where there are not enough links inwards to give PR 1, but it has still been indexed.

N/A from your green toolbar meaning it has no assigned pagerank yet (unranked). Why focus on PR? Go with rankings and traffic. :D
