Looks like the next "Google Killer" has arrived...

    Source : http://biz.yahoo.com/ap/080728/google_challenger.html?.v=12

I've just spent a few minutes checking it out and all I have to say is it looks cool (cuil) but the actual search has much to be desired. Very irrelevant results and a lot of really crappy results are returned.

Looks like Anna's work as a Google engineer proves that Google doesn't churn out talent or genius, just people who know how to tap into the VC's pockets for financing.

$33 million to develop this ?? Hell, half the 15yo hackers from India on this forum could make a better search engine.

    Hi,
Google "Killer" is Far Faaaaar far away from Cuil.

Just one more "nice try", it will take them few years to maybe be like Live, which is total junk.

Google have no compete for now, and maybe for the next 20 years, sad but true.

They claim that having tons of index pages, I tired so many basic keywords and did nothing.

The design is very weird, and not friendly.

two of my sites which are Google page 1 (8 years old) and page 2 (9 years old) for their key words aren't even listed in cuil. i think they have a bit more tweaking to do but the interface does look cool (no pun intended).

I think Cuil is annoying, it didn't show the type of results that I'd want to find. I'll stick to Google no matter what :)

I couldn't see anyone over the age of 30 using this. It tries to be a little too cool (or cuil, whatever).

Well some stuff i don't like in just 2 minutes spent there:
No home/end button in the search field
Not so friendly results page. Kinda frustrating
Results i got were relevant, but on too little keywords. a lot of stuff i searched for just wasn't there...

P.S. As someone above said, this will just be the next nice-try :)
