If He is perfect, then surely He could still have given us all freewill to start with without dooming all of us to failure i.e. death, from the get go. Too, I'm not aware of any free will, choice that I had in the matter, for I was only born in 66. So how does the logic work?
Magawr, who knows that was before borning But, after birth, we all have free will. I can choose what to believe, I can choose which hand I will raise Nobody is forcing me to do one thing or another (except tax). vayzalzha, I believe there is only one heaven or hell. Should not matters which God do you believe, but if you live truly 'good' life, then I beleive those people will meet in heaven. Sometimes I was wondering.. "what if some ultra genius scammer created heaven / hell stories, for getting ultra rich fast (in name of religions) and then for all his descendants." But that would be insane, so I think there is something like heaven / hell, or God in first place.
You've lost me mate, hmmmmm what does that have to do with the creation at the very beginning, even before the logos?
Hmmm, no idea, sorry if I confussed you, I was just trying to say, that we have a free will to decide what will we do ~ to do good or evil things. There was perfect World, but Adam and Eve switched it off when ate the forbidden apple
OK , once upon a time god created Us but what he was doing before creating us ? ohh sorry i know i know ... he was masturbating.
^ That is an extremely offensive remark by anyones standards. Post reported to mods. Is there Really any such need for such a vile comment?
I actually don't find it offensive and don't think the poster should be banned or infracted against what so ever. His post is no more offensive than mine. The poster could quite easily find all these religion threads/posts offensive. He might not want to read all the shit about how amazing God is or how amazing Allah is. Just like you don't want to read his posts because you deem them offensive. It's swings and roundabouts. KP
i believe in freedom of speech hey, masturbation invented by God " Health and psychological effects and Benefits "
There can't be "Free Will", when God already knows what is going to happen. He has the script in his hands. It's like saying the actors/characters is a movie have free will. As for heaven/hell. There can't be a heaven if there is a hell. Imagine the following scenerio: St. Peter: Welcome to heaven. Woman: Thank you. So where is my mother and my husband. I miss and love them so much and I can't wait to see them again. St. Peter: Oh, they're in hell, burning in a pit of lava. Woman: Oh, that's too bad. Anyway, so this is heaven. Alright.
But if I would not have free will, I would be "programmed" for something, eg: blow up some plane, or send all my wealth to some stranger as donation. (bad or good) I can choose one of these two (and unlimited others options), as I have no need to kill anybody, or to send everything to somebody. God may know what will happen, that would be a part of his almighty power. But then we do not have any true reason to be here, to live and to evolve, because what is the reason of creating something when he the creator knows already every single frame from the scene :-S Maybe he can check the end TODAY, and then give us life (tomorrow) to realize ourselves, that I have been living "bad" life so I can start doing it "right" I think he gave us space, to make our own chosies, and he perhaps don't look into our future, or maybe he do, and then he is waiting if we make his predictions right, or not. (but this negate his perfect power) But only when we can change the present, we perhaps can change the future, but I think this sentence has no meaning
God is omnipotent, he lives everywhere and he can also put life in the rock, He's in our heart, only Good Hearts
I have a BAD feeling something is terribly flawed in this world. So much pain, people dying for no fault of theirs, others living a life of luxury. Something is terribly wrong. And I am scared. I know there has to be God. It is my desire, my greed. Everything cannot, or should not just end after death. Otherwise it is all a waste.
You don't have to believe in God to believe that death is not the end. The problem is that we often view ourselves as separate from the surrounding environment. When in fact, we are all interconnected. We are one with life. Each of us is made up of the same atoms that surround us. We are not some unique isolated existence. The matter that makes up your physical form is actually fused with all the other matter of the surrounding universe. This includes being interconnected with other people as well. Since all forms are transient, when you die, what makes up your form returns to the universe. Since you and universe are one and the same, you do not cease to exist after you die.
You are joking, right? for one brief moment atoms that have existed since the dawn of time and heavier elements created in exploding stars trillions of miles away have come together and formed you. Your construction plans are the result of billions of years of fine tuning by natural selection and right now, at this very moment, the 6 billion people on this planet are the pinnacle of life on earth. We share the knowledge and science of everything that came before us. Think of all the events that had to occur to enable you to sit at your computer and claim it's all a waste. What people need to do is live their lives, spend as much time as they can helping others and make the most of this fleeting moment. What is a waste is to spend it worrying about the hereafter or crouched on your knees begging to some invisible man to give you just a little bit more. This is it, seriously, make the most of it. it's all you are going to get.
Exactly... In this moment, many people care for themselves, "race for money" for all cost... even on the expense of somebody else. , here comes the rich will be even more richer, and poor will go even more poorer... Extreme unbalance, when some politicans care which expensive and luxury cars will buy to protect their arses, how will they plan a great deal with investors to get ultra high commissions and so on.... when half of the World have nothing to put into their mouth For example: John will buy a avegare car, but Jack will buy mustang. But only because he want better car than John, but then John get upset that he don't have such good car so he will buy ferarri. and so on ... (same with anything else where the money is) So basicly, those people live for material things, but, one tsunami, earthquake or tornado and it's all gone, then they can feel on their own skin that it was not the best way of life. Cause they invested many years of their youth and life itself, which can not be undone or reverse back. And one hit from nature destroy it all. In this moment, humans feels they absolute weakness.... But isn't it a bit late? I'm not trying to say that expensive things are bad, or something. If someone is smart enought to make it then why not. But focusing all power just to get something which we can touch is a bit weird. :S
